You can take and Alaska Airlines Jet to Sitka, Juneau or Petersburg: then you may take a scheduled flight on any of the following air services: ( Kake has a State-owned 4,000' lighted/paved runway and a seaplane base at the City dock. ) LAB Flying - daily flights to/from Juneau & Petersburg · Taquan Air - daily flights to/from Sitka · Haines Air - Daily flights to/from Juneau To reach Kake by water .... Weekly ferry service provides connections to Juneau, Sitka, Petersburg and other communities in Southeast Alaska. · Alaska Marine Highway System Facilities Available.... · State ferry and barge services are available. · Kake has a small boat harbor, a boat launch and deep-water dock. · There are over 200 miles of logging roads in the Kake area. Notes .... There are no road connections to other communities in SE Alaska -- which is true of most Southeastern Alaskan cities.
